A poets’ meet was organised in memory of Dinesh Soni on his birth anniversary at Vishnyji Ki Rasoi, here. Dinesh Soni was a renowned poet, and journalist, who wrote his satirical poems with the pen name ‘Natkhati Nagpuriya’.
Noted poets Dr Sagar Khadiwala, Neeraj Vyas, Avinash Bagde, Indira Kislay, Madhuri Raulkar, Krishna Nagpal, Anil Malokar, Narendra Satija, Ajay Pande, Tikaram Sahu, Nandita Soni participated in the meet. Jaiprakash Gupta was in the chair. Senior journalist Anand Nirban and President of Soni Samaj Mitra Mandal Suresh Soni were prominent among those present.
Gupta recalled his association with the late Dinesh Soni and his struggle in life. Late Soni worked hard for the development of Bajeria, where he lived for several years.
Dr Khadiwala, Dr Vyas and Suresh Soni spoke about the effective satirical manner in which Dinesh Soni presented his views. Nirban spoke about his contribution in the field of journalism. Narendra Satija recalled his friendship with the late Soni. Nandita Soni presented a beautiful poem about him.
Manish Soni, son of Dinesh Soni made introductory remarks and narrated the social activities of his father. Malokar conducted the proceedings.
