PM Narendra Modi will toss the coin during the fourth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Reports

The fourth Test between India and Australia, scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, may witness a historic event, according to reports, as India’s prime minister may flip the coin during the coin toss.

PM Modi is expected to attend the historic event, which will also be attended by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

According to several unconfirmed reports, Modi may not only watch the game but also flip the coin in the center before the game begins.

India is one win away from a WTC finals berth.

India leads the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 with one game remaining in Ahmedabad. If they win the fourth Test, they will join the Australians in the World Cup final. The hosts have not batted as well as expected in this series.

Only one century has been scored in the series, and it came from India’s skipper Rohit Sharma in the first Test in Nagpur. Since then, the Indian batting has looked out of sorts, with only all-rounder Axar Patel standing out with the bat.

Axar has 185 runs in three games at an impressive 92.50 average, including two half-centuries. He has formed some valuable partnerships down the order with Indian tailenders and has rescued the team from a number of perilous situations throughout the series.

Australia is dealing with its own set of problems. Pat Cummins, the regular skipper, will also be unavailable for the fourth Test due to his ailing mother. As a result, Steve Smith will once again lead the Australian team in the Ahmedabad Test. Matthew Kuhnemann’s inclusion has worked wonders for the visitors, adding depth to Australia’s spin attack.
