Maha-Vikas Aghadi leaders criticized the Govt, none talked of MVA’s agenda

Criticizing Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the centre and the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra was the agenda of the second ‘Vajyamuth’ rally of Maha Vikas Aghadi, in Nagpur on Sunday.

Former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that by dividing a party and establishing the government is not democracy. Why BJP is shaken on the Adani issue? The centre should reply to the questions raised by the opposition. Whether Ujjwal Yojana is working? The farmers are not getting the money assured. During the last eight years, the government only fooled common people. The nation and the state have rotten by the present government, he said.

The status of India is going down. The huge crowd which has gathered here is an indication of discontent about the present government. “We helped the affected people within a short span of time”. Now the government only carried out inspections (Panchnama).  Referring to Chandrakant Patil’s criticism Thackeray said “Where were Chandrakant Patil and his uncle when Babri mosque was demolished”.

Thackeray alleged that BJP broke the alliance with Shiv Sena in 2014 and again in 2019. “We have not moved away from Hinduism.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole demanded inquiry into who supplied the explosives to Pulwama from Nagpur. Nagpur is not a fort of BJP, but of Dr babasaheb Ambedkar. He alleged that efforts were made to cancel the ‘Vajramuth’ rally in Nagpur. The environment in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar was also maligned. In the name of development, Nagpur is being looted. The Chief Minister does only comedy shows, he added.

Patole also criticized the government for advertising its work through advertisements. The work which is being advertised was never done.

Jayant Patil alleged that the politics by the government is harassment of the opposition. The youth in Vidarbha are being misguided. Those who try to raise their voices against the government are put behind bars. Elections are being deferred for fear of losing. The real Shiv Sena still has faith in ‘Matoshri’.

The rulers are intentionally creating confusion about the opposition.

Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan also referred to Adani as a fraudster. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tight-lipped over the issue raised by the opposition. The Governor has been directed not to speak on Pulwama issue.

Chavan said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi has planned ‘Vajyamuth’ as the rulers are killing democracy in the nation.

Former Minister Anil Deshmukh said that he was inducted in false cases. The charges leveled against him were not proven.

The government is not helping the farmers affected by unseasonal rains.

MLA Nitin Deshmukh referred to Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s threat to Thackeray and added that Thackeray is present in Nagpur for the meeting. He called Bawankule mentally challenged.

He said that the Vidarbha region could not develop even when the Chief Minister was from Nagpur. The government is dependent on ED.

The absence of NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Congress leader Ashok Chavan led to confusion among the party workers.

Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danwe also criticized the government of misusing government machinery to suppress the opposition.
