With the vacation time here, be prepared to pay much higher for flight tickets. Go First Airlines that is owned by The Wadia Group has suspended flights due to cash crunch. Fares of other airlines have become expensive.
The Go First Airline has cancelled many flights and the passengers who had booked tickets in advance are in a dilemma. They made the bookings as fares on almost all of Go First sectors were about 30% lesser than other airlines. Most passengers are on a connecting flight for their vacation plans. The cancelled airline will give refund sometime in the future, but the last minute booking will cost much higher.
Go First Airline provided connectivity from Nagpur to Mumbai, Delhi, Pune,Bengalure & Goa. More than 50% of the aircrafts are grounded for engine issues. The airlines website is open for bookings from 9th May 2023 but, the travel agents are not making the booking yet as there is no clear update/information when the flight operations would resume.
If you have to travel, the fares will burn a deep hole in your pockets as the other airline tickets will cost you more than 100% of the fare.
Should we still say ‘Happy holidays?’
