The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested a gold smuggler at Nagpur airport. he came
on an Air Arabia flight at Nagpur airport with 1.5 kg of gold at 4 am on Friday. This gold was in paste form which was hidden by the smuggler in his underwear, The value of the seized gold is more than 30 lakhs.
DRI received intelligence information about the arrival of a gold smuggler on an Air Arabia flight. The agency laid a trap at Nagpur airport. Checking was done at the exit of the passengers during which the agency got suspicious of the walking gesture of a passenger. DRI immediately took him into custody and searched him. During the search, 743.56 grams of gold was found hidden in his underwear, The gold was in paste form. The accused has been identified as Sachin Chandoskar, a resident of Ullas Nagar Thane. He had come to Nagpur from Sharjah.
After checking his travel history, it has been found that he has come to India several times from Dubai. Although information has been received from Sharjah to come to Nagpur for the first time.
