Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Transport Corporation employees.
The DA will be increased by 4 per cent, from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. The State Government provides financial assistance to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) for payment of salaries of the employees. The State Government will have to bear an additional burden of Rs 9 crore with the hike in DA.
