A protest march was taken out at the Nagpur Collectorate to demand that OBC reservation should be kept intact. OBC leaders from all parties were present in this march organized by the OBC Mahasangh.
After the controversial decision to grant the Kunbi certificate to the Maratha community, the OBCs in the state have become aggressive. Protests are going on in many cities against this. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis clarified that the government has no such intention. However, the OBC Mahasangh has taken the position that it will not withdraw the agitation until it receives written assurance.
Supporting the position of OBC Mahasangh, Leder of opposition Vijay Wadettiwar, Congress MLA Sunil Kedar, BJP leader Ashish Desh Deshmukh, Parinay Fuke, NCP’s Anil Deshmukh have participated in the protest march.
