The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has introduced the Toilet Seva App to help commuters locate restrooms at Nagpur Metro stations. Alongside this initiative, Maha Metro has also launched a Swachh Toilet Drive to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of restroom facilities across its network.
The app, developed by Amol Bhange, a U.S.-based IT engineer, leverages the increasing reliance on digital tools to benefit a diverse range of commuters, including men, women, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.
Metro stations often span large areas, making navigation confusing at times. The Toilet Seva App addresses this issue by providing precise locations of restrooms. Additionally, it allows users to report issues such as malfunctioning water taps, cleanliness concerns, or non-operational basins directly through the app. Complaints are immediately forwarded to the maintenance team, and users receive notifications confirming their submissions.
The app aims to enhance commuter convenience and improve restroom hygiene standards across Nagpur Metro stations. It is available for free download on the Google Play Store.
Maha Metro’s dual efforts with the Toilet Seva App and the Swachh Toilet Drive reflect its commitment to providing a clean, accessible, and user-friendly experience for metro passengers.
