In a unique initiative to raise awareness about the significance of the tricolor and showcase its glory globally, 30 rural youths from Vidarbha’s remote areas, including 12 young women aged 15 to 21, are preparing to accomplish an extraordinary feat on Republic Day.
They are set to run the world’s longest non-stop Tiranga marathon, covering 400 kilometers in just 48 hours, aiming to secure a place in the Golden Book of World Records. The marathon will begin at the Mahar Regiment Centre in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, and conclude at the Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education in Nagpur. The event is being organized by the Betiyan Shakti Foundation NGO.
Despite the rigorous efforts put in by these young runners over the past three months, a lack of funds is proving to be a major obstacle. The participants and organizers are now appealing for financial assistance and seeking contributions through CSR funding or individual donations to help turn this historic event into a reality.
