The Annasaheb Patil Economically Backward Development Corporation has introduced an individual and group project loan interest refund scheme for the Maratha community. Business loans can be availed from nationalized, private, and cooperative banks. The corporation has urged eligible candidates to take advantage of these schemes, as announced by District Coordinator Priyanka Kaple.
Under the Personal Loan Interest Repayment Scheme, beneficiaries taking loans up to ₹15 lakh from banks at an interest rate of 12% will receive a monthly interest refund of up to ₹4.5 lakh directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank account. This refund will be provided for a period of seven years. Similarly, the Group Project Loan Interest Refund Scheme offers interest refunds of up to ₹15 lakh per month for industrial development loans taken by a group. The maximum loan amount under this scheme is ₹50 lakh, and the refund will be provided for five years at a maximum interest rate of 12%.
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Maharashtra, with an age limit of 60 years for both men and women. The annual family income should be less than ₹8 lakh. Required documents include an Aadhaar card with an updated mobile number and email ID, residence proof (such as a residence certificate, electricity bill, ration card, gas bill, bank passbook, rent agreement, landline bill, or passport), and income proof (income certificate or IT return). If married, both spouses’ IT returns are mandatory, whereas unmarried applicants must provide their own. Additionally, a caste certificate or school leaving certificate, a one-page project report, and a self-attested declaration form (available on udyog.mahaswayam.gov.in) are required.
