Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Kalasrjan, Academy of Indian Music, Dance, and Fine Arts, will host its 17th Annual Day function on February 9 at 4 PM and February 10 at 5:30 PM at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Auditorium, Civil Lines.
Srimathy Madhkholkar, Principal of Kalasrjan, announced the event through a press release. The function will be inaugurated on February 9 by R.K. Govindarajan, former Director of Bengaluru Vividh Bharati, while Ashutosh Adoni, Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Sanyojak of Sanskar Bharati, Nagpur, will attend as the guest of honor.
The event will showcase performances by students, including tabla and sitar recitals, Hindustani classical music presentations, Bharatnatyam (juniors), and a Kathak dance drama, ‘Shrirangayan’, on the first day.
On February 10, Guru Kishor Hampiholi, Director of Kishor Nritya Niketan, will attend as the chief guest. The second day will feature Kathak performances by junior and senior students, followed by a Bharatnatyam recital by senior students of the academy.
