The Maharashtra Class 10 board exams started on a troubling note as the copy-free program faced a major setback. A question paper leak was reported in Badnapur, Jalna district, soon after the Marathi exam began.
As per reports, the leaked paper made its way to CSC centres in Badnapur city, creating a serious issue. With students gaining access to it before the exam, concerns have been raised over the security measures in place. This incident has put a question mark on the effectiveness of the copy-free campaign.
At the CSC centre, the leaked questions were reportedly matched with answers and printed as Xerox copies.
Parents are upset over the unfairness of the situation, as it has created uncertainty and confusion among Class 10 students. Many are now questioning the credibility of the Maharashtra board exams.
The education department is likely to take action, but the reasons behind the paper leak remain unknown.
The Maharashtra government launched the copy-free campaign in early 2025 to maintain fairness and transparency in Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) exams.
