The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has started the online registration process for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for first-year undergraduate agriculture courses for the 2026-27 academic year. Eligible candidates can apply online until July 25, 2026.
Admissions are open for nine undergraduate programmes, including B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries Science, Community Science, Agri-Business Management, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, and Biotechnology.A total of 17,586 seats are available across 195 agriculture colleges affiliated with Maharashtra’s four agricultural universities.
Candidates who have qualified in MHT-CET 2026 or other eligible national-level entrance exams can register online through the Agriculture CAP portal on the Maharashtra CET website. Applicants must upload all required documents and certificates in the prescribed format.
The CET Cell has clarified that NEET 2026 scores will also be accepted for admission to all agriculture courses except Agricultural Engineering.
Since the NEET 2026 results are yet to be announced, only the preliminary admission schedule has been released. The detailed schedule for the merit list, CAP rounds, seat allotment, institute-level admissions, and other activities will be announced after the NEET results are declared.
Students have been advised to regularly check the Maharashtra CET website for updates on eligibility, admission rules, important dates, and other notifications.
