Pune police have formed 13 squads to search for the accused in the Swargate Bus Depot rape case. The accused has been identified through the CCTV footage. A 26-year-old lady was raped inside a Shivshahi bus depot on Tuesday morning. Many social organisations and women raised issues relating to the security of women.
Based on the CCTV footage and description by the victim the accused has been named as Dattatray Namdev Gade (35), a resident of Gunat village in Shirur Tehsil of Pune district, According to Pune police, more than half a dozen offenses are registered against Gade with Pune and Ahilyanagar Police. Swargate Police have registered an offence under Sections 64, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita.
