The air connectivity between Amravati and Mumbai is likely to be started in April this year. The long wait for the people of Amravati will end with work on Amravati’s Belora Airport is complete and clearance from the Civil Aviation Ministry is awaited.
Rajya Sabha member Dr Anil Bonde informed the media the runway, and administrative building is ready. He visited the airport and also held discussion with the officers of the Airport Authorities. The process of getting the green signal from the Aviation Ministry is almost complete. The services of 78-seater aircraft connecting Amravati and Mumbai are expected to start in April. The airport will soon have facilities for night landing and take-off, Bonde said
