Five city basketball players have been selected to represent Maharashtra in the Under-23 National Basketball Championship, set to take place in Guwahati from March 18 to 22.
The selected players from Nagpur include Siya Deodhar, Dhara Phate, Shomira Bidaye, Gunjan Mantri, and Rajvi Maladhari. Officials of the Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) have extended their best wishes to the players.
The Maharashtra squad comprises Siya Deodhar (Nagpur), Suzzene Pinto (Mumbai North), Sanika Phule (Kolhapur), Dhara Phate (Nagpur), Shomira Bidaye (Nagpur), Gunjan Mantri (Nagpur), Ameesha Jose (South East), Bhumika Sarje (Pune), Ankita Kumari (South East), Rajvi Maladhari (Nagpur), Mansi Nirmalkar (Pune), and Avisha Gurav (Satara).
The team will be led by Head Coach Nizar Ahmed Koya and Coach Sonesh Zore.
