A First Information Report (FIR) filed at Ganeshpeth Police Station regarding the recent violence in Nagpur has revealed shocking details of misconduct against police personnel. According to the FIR, an accused inappropriately touched the uniform and body of an on-duty woman police officer from the RCP squad during the clashes.
The accused also made obscene gestures and misbehaved with several women police personnel, ANI reported citing the FIR. There are no reports confirming the identification of the accused or stating whether he was held by the cops.
Meanwhile, in response to the violent clashes of March 17, the city remains under tight security, with curfew still in place across 11 police station areas. While normalcy has returned to most parts of Nagpur, authorities have decided to keep restrictions in sensitive areas as a precautionary measure.
