Panic gripped Mayo Hospital premises on June 10 evening after a man was found hanging inside a toilet near the OPD building. The incident occurred around 8:35 pm and was reported to Tehsil Police by hospital security.
The deceased, estimated to be around 45 years old, remains unidentified. He was wearing a black shirt with white floral prints, black trousers, and undergarments of the Macho brand. He had a dark complexion, round face, medium build, and a noticeable old scar on the right side of his abdomen along with a fractured right arm.
Hospital authorities immediately informed the police. Sub-Inspector Bhagat from Tehsil Police Station has registered an accidental death report (ADR) and initiated further investigation to ascertain the man’s identity and the circumstances leading to the incident.
