The Nagpur City Police Commissionerate has issued an official advisory to Oyo hotel, lodge, guest house, and boarding house owners and operators in the city, urging them to strictly follow security and verification protocols for guests. The advisory emphasizes the importance of maintaining accurate guest records and adhering to all safety measures to prevent any untoward incidents.
The notice, signed by Akhilesh V. Poddar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), directs all oyo hotel and lodge operators to attend a mandatory meeting with the police department. The meeting, chaired by Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singhal, will be held on August 1, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the Police Bhavan Auditorium, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
The circular further states that the presence of all owners and managers is compulsory and that any absence must be justified in advance. The initiative aims to strengthen the city’s safety and security framework and ensure timely coordination between the hospitality sector and the police department
