The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe, with the approval of the Governor of Maharashtra, announced the opening of another bench of the High Court at Kolhapur.
The Kolhapur bench of the HC will be the third one after Nagpur and Aurangabad.
The notification was issued on August 1, 2025, by Justice Aradhe, using his powers conferred under Section 51 (3)of the States Reorganisation Act 1956.
The court will start functioning from August 18, 2025, according to the notification.
