Nagpur District Table Tennis Association (NDTTA), under the aegis of the Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association (MSTTA), will host the Jennifer Varghese 2nd Maharashtra State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament from August 15 to 19 at RTMNU’s Subhedar Hall.
Speaking to the media, MSTTA secretary Adv. Ashutosh Potnis said the championship has received an encouraging response from players across the state.
Five players from Nagpur have secured places in the seedings. They include Aadi Chitnis (3rd in men’s singles), Ikshika Umate (8th in U-19 and 3rd in U-17), Karnika Singh (10th in U-11), Anaaya Kashyap (13th in U-11), and Saiee Gunjal (14th in U-11).
The tournament will be inaugurated by Acting Deputy Director of Sports Pallavi Dhatrak in the presence of Dr Sambhaji Bhonsale, Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, RTM Nagpur University, and Dr Dhananjay Welukar. The ceremony will begin at 4 pm on August 15.
