In a special drive conducted by Nagpur Police Zone 5, a total of 231 stolen and lost mobile phones worth ?49,86,666 were successfully recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
The operation was carried out across multiple police stations including Kalamna, Kamptee, Jaripatka, Koradi, Pachpaoli, Nandanvan, Old Kamptee, and Yashodhara Nagar. Through technical tracking and consistent follow-up, the mobiles were traced and later handed over to the concerned police stations for distribution to citizens.
According to details, the highest number of mobiles were recovered from Kalamna Police Station (64 phones worth ?12,72,991), followed by Kamptee (43 phones worth ?11,79,999) and Jaripatka (20 phones worth ?5,36,000). Other police stations also reported significant recoveries, ensuring relief for hundreds of citizens who had lost their devices.
The recovered mobiles were officially handed over to their owners at a special program organized at the Zone 5 office, Pachpaoli.
This initiative highlights the commitment of Nagpur Police and Zone 5 towards citizen service, restoring public trust, and ensuring effective action against theft and mobile-related crimes.
