Former Santosh Trophy footballer and South East Central Railway Sports Association (SECRSA) athlete Amit Anthony has added another milestone to his coaching journey by earning the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach Accreditation.
Anthony received the internationally recognised certification after successfully completing the ASCA Level 1 coaching programme conducted at the National Institute of Sports (NIS), Patiala.
The certification equips coaches with the expertise to develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based strength and conditioning programmes for athletes across multiple sports, while adhering to internationally accepted coaching practices.
Sharing his achievement, Anthony expressed gratitude to Deepak Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), South East Central Railway, Nagpur, for his continued encouragement and support. He also thanked Dilip Singh, Senior Sports Officer, for his guidance and mentorship throughout his professional journey.
The latest accreditation is expected to further strengthen Anthony’s coaching credentials and enable him to contribute more effectively to athlete development through modern training methodologies.
