Nagpur: The Social Security Branch (SSB) of Nagpur city police on Monday evening raided OYO Urban Retreat, Plot No. 03, Renuka Complex, Rajendra Nagar Layout, near Vasudev Nagar Metro Station on Hingna Road, uncovering a prostitution racket. The operation was carried out between 4:55 pm and 11:15 pm following a tip-off.
Four individuals were arrested and a young woman allegedly forced into the trade was rescued. Those held are:
• Jayshree Santosh Solanki (38), a native of Bhatkuli, Amravati
• Salman alias Roshan Rajesh Dongre (36), resident of Hilltop Road, Ambazari, Nagpur
• Akshay Roshan Ramteke (32), resident of Kapil Nagar, Nagpur
A fourth suspect, Rajat Rajesh Dongre, remains absconding.
Investigators said the accused enticed the victim with promises of quick earnings and compelled her into prostitution for financial gain. Cash and valuables worth ₹6.33 lakh were seized during the raid.
An offence has been registered at MIDC police station under Sections 143(2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
The raid was led by PI Rahul Shire, assisted by API Shivaji Nanaware, WHC Arti Chouhan, NPC Sheshrao Raut, PCs Ashwin Mange, Sameer Shikha, Kunal Masram, Nitin, HC Kishor Thakre, and WPC Poonam Shende. Police said a search is on to trace the absconding accused and uncover any larger network.
