The festival of Navratri, one of the most celebrated occasions in India, will be observed this year from September 22 to October 2, culminating in Vijayadashami (Dussehra). Over these nine days, devotees honour the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga, collectively known as the Navdurgas. Each day is associated with a specific form of the Goddess and an auspicious colour that carries spiritual meaning.
The nine forms of Durga worshipped are Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmacharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kalaratri, Maa Mahagauri, and Maa Siddhidatri. According to Drik Panchang, here is the day-wise schedule of colours and the goddesses linked with them:

Day 1 – White (Maa Shailputri): Symbolises purity and calmness, invoking inner peace and stability.
Day 2 – Red (Maa Brahmacharini): Stands for passion, strength, and devotion; also linked with the sacred Chunri offered to the Goddess.
Day 3 – Blue (Maa Chandraghanta): Denotes depth, prosperity, and tranquillity, honouring the married form of Goddess Parvati.
Day 4 – Yellow (Maa Chandraghanta): Represents optimism and positivity, uplifting the spirit during festivities.
Day 5 – Green (Maa Kushmanda): Associated with nature, renewal, and harmony, symbolising growth and fertility.
