Chetan Deodhagale won the 9th Edition of Jaihind One Day Open Rapid Chess Tournament which was organized by Jaihind Chess Association, Nagpur recognized by Chess Association Nagpur held at Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Mandir, Balaji Nagar (Extension), Manewada on 14th September 2025.
A total of 218 players took part in the event. From 5-year-old Master Lokesh Gaur to 73-year-old veteran Mr. Pravin Parekh, players enthralled the audience with their remarkable chess talent.
The Prizes were distributed at the hands of Shri Manoharrao Sapkal, RSS Ayodhya Bhag Sanghchalak, who lauded the commendable efforts of Jaihind Chess Association.
The event was brainchild of Jaihind Chess Association President Jagdish Choudhari. The organizing team included Vice President Prof. Vinod Kadu, General Secretary Vaibhav Gangaprasad Choudhari, Treasurer Sandesh Sahu, Joint Secretary Nishant Sahu, and members Rohit Sahu, Dinesh Atalkar, Saurabh Choudhari, Dr. Mona Sahu, Abhijit Choudhari, Pushpa Choudhari, and Roshni Choudhari. Brilliant Chess Academy’s Mr. Nilesh Channawar, social worker Mr. Ravi Pandia, Mr. Shyam Agrawal, and Shri Gajanan Mandir trustee Mr. Prabhakarrao Nivul.
IA Shiva Iyer was the Chief Arbiter for the event who was assisted by FA Bharati Dhote, SNA Akash Revatkar, SNA Ninad Jain, and Amit Janjal
