Indian Railways is set to launch another Amrit Bharat Express, this time linking Brahmapur in Odisha with Udhna in Gujarat. The new service, scheduled to begin on September 27, will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Brahmapur. The introduction comes in response to rising passenger traffic on the busy Puri–Surat corridor, offering much-needed relief for travelers.
Train Schedule
- Train No. 19021 Udhna–Brahmapur: Departs Udhna every Sunday at 07:10 hrs and arrives in Brahmapur the following day at 13:55 hrs.
- Train No. 19022 Brahmapur–Udhna: Leaves Brahmapur every Monday at 23:45 hrs and reaches Udhna on Wednesday at 08:45 hrs.
Stoppages
The train will halt at several key stations, including Bardoli, Vyara, Navapur, Nandurbar, Dondaiche, Sindkheda, Amalner, Dharangaon, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Mahasamund, Khairar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road and Palasa.
Train Composition
The weekly Amrit Bharat Express will be equipped with:
- 8 Sleeper Coaches
- 11 Second Class Coaches
- 1 Pantry Car
- 2 SLRs (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake)
All coaches will be of the modern LHB design, ensuring improved safety and a more comfortable travel experience.
With this addition, Indian Railways aims to enhance long-distance connectivity between the eastern and western regions of the country, while also catering to the growing demand from passengers along this route.
