The Disaster Management Authority has reported minor seismic activity in Warora tehsil of Chandrapur district, where an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale was recorded. The tremor’s epicenter was located within the same region, according to updates received via the official earthquake monitoring application.
Soon after the alert, the district administration initiated verification by reaching out to citizens, police patils, and talathis in villages such as Marda and Ekona under Warora jurisdiction. Their inquiries confirmed that residents had not experienced any noticeable tremors.
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), which operates mines in the area, also confirmed the incident and assured that no damage or operational disruptions were reported. Authorities have clarified that there was no harm or loss caused by the mild quake.
