First-Ever Arrival of Sai Baba’s Padukas in the City
The Saibaba Shri Sansthan Vishwastha Vyavasthya, Shirdi, along with the Sadguru Sai Charitable Trust and Sai Bhakt Sewak Parivar, will host the three-day spiritual event ‘Shri Sai Paduka Darshan Sohala-2025’ at Chitnavis Park, Mahal, from October 10 to 12, celebrating devotion and the teachings of Sai Baba.
The announcement was made by Organising Committee President Pankaj Mahajan during a press conference held on Saturday.
The upcoming festival marks the first-ever arrival of Shri Sai Baba’s sacred Padukas in Nagpur, offering devotees from Vidarbha and beyond a rare opportunity to seek blessings in an atmosphere of deep faith and devotion. Organised as a spiritual confluence to revive and celebrate Sai Baba’s eternal teachings, the event will blend devotion, culture, and community spirit.
The celebrations will begin on October 10 with a women’s bike rally symbolising devotion and empowerment. Starting from Chinchbhuvan, the rally will traverse Rajiv Nagar, Narendra Nagar, Reshimbag, and Gadkari Wada, before merging into a grand Paduka procession featuring dindi troupes, traditional dhol-tasha groups, bands, fireworks, and decorative illumination. The Padukas will then reach Chitnavis Park, where thousands of devotees will gather to offer prayers.
On October 11, the Paduka Sthapana and Jalabhishek will take place at 5:30 am, using holy water collected from sacred rivers across India, accompanied by Vishnusahasranam chants by 51 Vedic priests. The first Aarti of the day will be performed by members of the Kinnar community, followed by an evening live devotional concert by Abhang Repost.
The final day, October 12, will include Sai Satcharitra Parayan, Shri Sainath Stavan Manjiri recitation, and Gopalkala Kirtan. A Sai Bhakt Sammelan, addressed by Gauraksh Gadilkar, CEO of Shri Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi, will be held before the festival concludes with the Sandhya Aarti, a mesmerising Deepotsav featuring 51,000 lamps, and a soulful performance by Kartiki Gaikwad of Zee Marathi fame.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by Organising Committee President Pankaj Mahajan, along with Ashish Chirkute (Treasurer), Anupam Balki (Joint Secretary), Amit Gondane, Pavan Satphale (Trustees), and Rajiv Jaiswal.
