The onset of winter has begun in the sub-capital Nagpur and across the Vidarbha region. While the daytime still feels warm, residents are beginning to experience a noticeable chill at night. On Monday, October 13, 2025, Nagpur’s minimum temperature dropped to 22°C, marking the first hint of the upcoming cold season. Early in the morning, citizens felt a touch of the season’s first mild cold breeze. Meanwhile, Washim recorded the lowest temperature in the region at 17°C, making it the coldest district in Vidarbha.
As mid-October approaches, the change in weather is becoming evident across the region. Data released by the Meteorological Department on Monday confirmed a decline in temperatures throughout Vidarbha. Washim’s minimum temperature stood at 17°C, which is 0.2°C below normal. Following Washim, Buldhana (18.2°C), Amravati (18.3°C), and Yavatmal (18.4°C) also recorded relatively lower temperatures, indicating the gradual arrival of winter.
