New Delhi: India’s premier management institutes have once again made a strong global impression in the QS International Trade Rankings 2026, showcasing the country’s growing influence in global business education. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has secured the 32nd position worldwide for its Master’s in Global Management (MGM) program, while IIM Calcutta earned the 64th spot.
Adding to India’s achievements, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was ranked 71st globally for its MGM program, and IIM Bangalore stood at 52nd position, further highlighting the strong presence of Indian B-schools on the world stage.
IIM Calcutta’s Executive MBA Among Global Top 10
In a remarkable feat, IIM Calcutta’s Executive MBA program has broken into the world’s top 10, achieving the 8th rank globally — a first for any Indian institution in this category. The University of Cambridge topped the Executive MBA list, followed by London Business School and Columbia University. Other leading names in the top 10 include INSEAD (France), Georgia Institute of Technology, and Cornell University.
Global Leaders in International Trade Education
Globally, the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University (USA) claimed the No. 1 spot, followed by the National University of Singapore and Durham University (UK). European and Asian institutions continued to perform strongly, reflecting the increasingly internationalized nature of management education.
