The Nagpur District 111th Weekend Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2025, organized in association with Dhanwate National College, concluded on Sunday at the NDCA Hall, Sports Complex, Dhanwate National College, Congress Nagar, Nagpur.
A total of 40 players, including 24 ELO-rated participants, competed in the event. The tournament featured seven rounds of rapid chess, showcasing keen competition and sporting spirit among the participants.
The total prize fund of ₹5,000 was distributed among the top 10 performers of the tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by International Arbiter (IA) Pravin Pantawane, who served as the Chief Arbiter, and Mr. Dinesh Kokate, who officiated as the Assistant Arbiter.
The event concluded on a successful note, adding another memorable chapter to Nagpur District Chess Association’s continuing efforts to promote chess at the grassroots level.
