Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp for Women by Nagpur Municipal Corporation from November 1

As part of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations marking 75 years of the establishment of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), the NMC Health Department, in collaboration with HCG Cancer Hospital and the Rotary Club of Nagpur North, will organize a free breast cancer screening camp for women starting November 1, 2025.

The initiative is being undertaken under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari, with guidance from Additional Commissioner Mrs. Vasumana Pant and supervision by Medical Health Officer Dr. Deepak Selokar. The camps will be held under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) across various Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) of the corporation.

This special camp is targeted at women above 30 years of age and will continue zone-wise until November 13, 2025. The program will be inaugurated on November 1 at the Hivari Nagar Urban Primary Health Centre under the Lakadganj Zone. Screening will be conducted by expert doctors from HCG Cancer Hospital, with support from the Rotary Club.

The zonal medical officers, medical officers at UPHCs, health staff, and ASHA workers are assisting in organizing the camp. Dr. Deepak Selokar, Medical Health Officer, has appealed to all women aged 30 and above in the city to take advantage of this free breast cancer screening opportunity.
