The jobs of contractual workers in the Public Health Department under the National Health Mission, who have completed ten years of service, will be regularised. The important decision was taken by the Maharashtra Cabinet in its meeting on Tuesday. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis chaired the meeting in Mumbai.
Hundreds of workers in the health department will benefit from the decision. The Cabinet also decided to establish Urban Health Commissionerate to facilitate de-centralization of the services.
Fadnavis-led Cabinet also planned improvement in the Health services, including for those covered under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushyaman Bharat Scheme. More services are expected to be added in the list under these schemes.
The decision to regularize services of those who have completed ten years of services under contract has been taken to improve the health delivery system. Common people will benefit from the decision.
