The Joint Working Committee of the Central Government Employees Confederation (CGEC–NOCGE) and the National Organisation of Central & State Government Officers, Employees & Pensioners (NOCSGOEP) has unanimously decided to launch a nationwide agitation from November 17 to push for long-pending demands. The decision was taken during a meeting held on October 26 in the city.
The charter of demands includes the immediate formation of the 8th Central Pay Commission, release of the 18 months’ frozen DA/DR, restoration of pension commutation after 12 years, merger of 50% DA/DR, and the reintroduction of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
