An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad made an emergency landing in Mumbai on Tuesday after airports received an email warning about a “human bomb” on board.
Hyderabad Airport first got the threat, followed by a similar message sent to Delhi Airport, triggering emergency security procedures.
The flight landed safely in Mumbai and was taken to an isolation bay, where security teams checked the aircraft. No suspicious item has been found so far.
Bomb squads, emergency teams and CISF personnel were on standby.
More information and an official statement from IndiGo are awaited.
