Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road, Nagpur celebrated its Annual Day for Preschool to Grade II with a vibrant showcase themed “The Tale of the Forgotten Toy Box.” The event opened with the arrival of dignitaries and the traditional Lighting of the Lamp.
The celebration was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Joint Director, Income Tax, Government of India. Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro Vice Chairperson of DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, joined the event virtually, extending her warm wishes to students, parents and staff. Her message—read out by Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN—praised the confidence of the young performers and acknowledged the dedication of the teaching team in bringing the theme to life.
Principal Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar delivered the welcome address, setting an inviting tone for the evening. Mr. Indrajeet Parganiha, Bursar, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, and Ms. Nidhi Yadav, Principal, DPS MIHAN, were also present, adding grace and significance to the occasion.
The highlight of the programme was the spirited production of “The Tale of the Forgotten Toy Box.” Students captivated the audience with expressive performances, colourful costumes and energetic dance sequences that evoked the wonder of early childhood. Their portrayal transformed the stage into a whimsical world of toys, friendship and adventure.
Music by the school’s Gen Alpha Band added to the festive ambience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the teamwork and effort behind the seamless celebration.
