The 19-minute viral video continues to be searched for and circulated across social media platforms. The clip, which runs for 19 minutes and 34 seconds and allegedly depicts a young couple in an intimate moment, first surfaced in the last week of November and spread rapidly. The source of the video remains unidentified, and it is still unclear whether it was shared intentionally or created using AI.
Authorities have now issued a warning, urging the public not to share the clip.
Police Statement on the 19-Minute Viral Video
NCB Cyber Cell officer Amit Yadav released an official statement confirming that the viral video is AI-generated. He added that several users are now circulating alleged “Part 2” and “Part 3” versions, which also appear to be AI-created.
Yadav noted that tools such as the website Sightengine can be used to verify whether a video has been generated by artificial intelligence. He emphasized that people must refrain from sharing the clip in any format. The advisory was issued because the video continues to be forwarded and uploaded across various online platforms.
Consequences of Sharing the 19-Minute Viral Video
Yadav also outlined the legal consequences of sharing such material. Distributing obscene or objectionable content online is punishable under Indian law.
Section 67 of the IT Act: Sharing obscene material can result in up to 3 years of imprisonment and a ₹5 lakh fine.
Section 67A: Sharing sexually explicit content for the first time can lead to 5 years of imprisonment and a ₹10 lakh fine.
Repeat offences under this section can result in 7 years of imprisonment.
These acts also fall under IPC Sections 292, 293, and 354C.
The officer stressed that circulating such videos is a violation of privacy. Anyone who comes across the clip should avoid forwarding, uploading, or engaging with it in any form.
