The Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited applications for its six-month paid internship programme for 2025. Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in engineering or science can apply in the prescribed format by December 15 through the form available on the official DRDO website, drdo.gov.in.
The internship will commence on January 1, 2026, with selected candidates receiving notification in the last week of December 2025. Opportunities are available in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics, each offering a monthly stipend of ?5,000.
Eligibility & Selection Process
Students enrolled full-time in recognised Indian universities/institutes and pursuing graduate or postgraduate programmes in engineering or science are eligible. Applicants must have scored above 75% marks or a 7.5 GPA.
Selection will be based on the CGPA/percentage of all previous semesters and may include an online or telephonic interview, subject to verification of documents. The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years.
