The 2nd- and 3rd-year MBBS students of the Art Club, Datta Meghe Medical College, organized a vibrant New Year 2026 celebration on 31 December 2025, highlighting creativity, student engagement, and mental well-being. The students designed and set up handmade decorations along with a special selfie point, creating an enthusiastic and joyful atmosphere on campus.
The initiative aimed to encourage unity, self-expression, and positive mental health among students. As part of the celebrations, a group photograph was taken on 1 January 2026, featuring students and faculty dressed in yellow, symbolizing positivity, happiness, and togetherness.
The event was graced by Dr. Anup Marar, Director Off-Campus, DMIHER; Dr. Ujwal Gajbe, Dean, Datta Meghe Medical College; Dr. B. R. Singh, Vice Dean, Datta Meghe Medical College; and Dr. Vasant Gawande, CMS, SMHRC. The dignitaries motivated the students and emphasized the importance of mental well-being alongside academic excellence.
Adding to the festive spirit, medical college students also launched a music band on the occasion, showcasing their talents beyond academics and reinforcing the message of holistic development. The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing creativity, camaraderie, and emotional wellness among future healthcare professionals.
