HRD Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), in association with the Nagpur Chapter of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), is organizing an insightful online panel discussion titled “Women in Night Shifts : Safety vs Opportunity” on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm, via Zoom Meeting ID 424 633 3045 and Passcode via123.
Traditionally, Women in India were restricted from working in night shifts, largely due to safety and social concerns. While well-intentioned, these restrictions often held back careers and left companies operating below their full potential. In today’s competitive economy, excluding women from night shifts limits opportunities. Recognizing this, India has amended its labour laws to permit women to work in night shifts.
The session aims to deliberate on this evolving landscape and provide practical insights for industries and HR professionals. Let us hear from experts on what this change means for organizations.
The panel will feature eminent speakers including Pallavi Gampawar, Deputy Director, Industrial Safety & Health, Amravati; Vibhuti Pandya, HR Head, Atlas Copco, Pune; and Harini Srinivasan, Partner, Semcostyle Institute India LLP, Mumbai. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Suresh Pandilwar, Chairman, VIA HRD Forum.
The session is open to industry members, HR professionals, and management representatives. Interested participants can join the Zoom meeting using Meeting ID 424 633 3045 and Passcode via123. For further details, participants may contact VIA at 0712-2561211 or 9922386398.
VIA and NIPM Members, HR Professionals / Managers, MBA Students are cordially invited to join the meeting on zoom platform, says a press note issued jointly by Dr Suresh Pandilwar, Chairman, VIA HRD Forum and Ranjeet Pande, Chairman of NIPM Nagpur Chapter.
