Tempers flared aboard an IndiGo flight bound for Krabi, Thailand, after passengers were made to remain seated inside the aircraft for nearly three hours due to operational delays, leading to a chaotic situation inside the cabin.
According to details shared by author Tarun Shukla on X (formerly Twitter), the delay occurred as the pilot was nearing the end of his duty hours. Although the pilot had reportedly informed the airline in advance, passengers had already boarded the aircraft. The prolonged wait inside the cabin triggered mounting frustration among travellers.

A video of the incident, recorded from inside the aircraft, shows passengers standing up from their seats, shouting, and hurling abuses at a lone cabin crew member. Some passengers are seen kicking the L1 front exit door while chanting slogans such as “IndiGo haye haye.” In the clip, a woman is heard screaming, “Why the f*** is he hiding like a rat?” while another passenger repeatedly abuses the crew member and continues to kick the door.
Despite facing aggression from multiple travellers, the lone cabin crew member is seen remaining calm and attempting to manage the situation.
As the video gained traction online, pilot Vijay Hiremath strongly condemned the behaviour of the passengers. Reacting to the incident, he said, “Absolutely unacceptable. Buying a ticket doesn’t give anyone the right to create a nuisance or endanger safety. Indian pilots and cabin crew need stronger authority and zero tolerance for such behaviour. Aviation isn’t a bus stand.”
