A heartwarming example of this passion was seen on Wednesday during the India vs New Zealand T20 match, when six-year-old Eliana Christy travelled all the way from Hyderabad to Nagpur to watch the game live.
Eliana, a keen cricket enthusiast, was especially excited to see her favourite Indian star batter Virat Kohli in action. Holding her father Rohit Christy’s hand, she eagerly made her way to Jamtha Stadium, proudly sharing that she was going to watch Virat play live.
Her father Rohit said that though the family is originally from Nagpur, they have been living in Hyderabad for the past ten years. To avoid heavy traffic and ensure they reached the stadium on time, they chose to travel by Metro.
Rohit added that Eliana’s love for cricket runs deep, and this was her second international match—making the experience even more special for the young fan.
