The longest skywalk in Asia, being built in Amravati’s Chikhaldara is on the verge of completion, with about 15 per cent of completion of the project remaining. The 407 meter skywalk is expected to be completed by March 2026.
The work on the ambitious project was started in 2019, with deadline fixed for March 2026. The contractor has already fixed steel structure connection two points – Hurricane Point and Goraghat Point over a trench. The work on fixing glass and other material is in progress at a faster pace.
The skywalk, once completed, is expected to invite more tourists, and also generate employment to local villagers. The contractor is working at a higher pace to meet the deadline of March this year.
