A series of powerful explosions occurred at a paper mill in the Uppalwadi MIDC area of Nagpur on Tuesday, creating panic in the surrounding industrial zone. According to preliminary reports, around 10 to 12 boiler cylinders exploded one after another, with the blasts strong enough to be heard from a considerable distance.
The incident triggered chaos in the area as residents and workers rushed to safety. Fire brigade teams, police personnel and district administration officials quickly reached the site, sealed the area and safely evacuated workers from inside the mill.
The exact cause of the explosions is yet to be confirmed. Initial indications point to a possible technical fault or excessive pressure buildup in the boilers. Authorities have begun an investigation, and official details regarding the extent of damage and any casualties are still awaited.
