Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the country’s tallest 161-foot Hanuman statue at Koradi in June 2026.
The announcement was made by Maharashtra Revenue Minister and Nagpur Guardian Minister Chandrashekar Bawankule, who met the Union minister in New Delhi to formally invite him to the ceremony. According to Bawankule, the massive idol is nearing completion and the inauguration will be organised on a grand scale.
The 161-foot statue, being constructed as a symbol of faith and strength, is expected to become the tallest Hanuman idol in the country and a major spiritual landmark in the region. Authorities believe the project will attract large numbers of devotees and boost religious tourism, helping the Koradi area emerge as an important pilgrimage destination.
