The RTE admission process for 2026–27 has been revised, making it mandatory for parents to select a minimum of 10 schools while applying for the 25% reserved seats under the Right to Education Act. Online applications will be accepted from February 17 to March 10, and admissions will be finalised through an online lottery conducted in a single phase.
In Nagpur district, 6,994 seats are available across 640 schools. Parents must select schools within one kilometre of their residence and carefully verify location details while filling out the form. Authorities have cautioned parents against fraud and clarified that the entire admission process is conducted online.
