A brief panic was reported onboard a moving train traveling from Mumbai to Visakhapatnam after a passenger claimed to have seen a snake inside the coach toilet. Railway authorities and wildlife rescuers quickly responded, but no reptile was found during inspection.
The passenger immediately alerted the railway staff after spotting the snake. As the train was approaching Nagpur, the information was forwarded to the RPF Nagpur unit, which coordinated with members of the Wildlife Welfare Society.
A rescue team reached Platform No. 6 at Nagpur Railway Station, waiting for the train to arrive. Once the train halted — approximately 1.20 minutes after the alert — the team inspected the toilet and surrounding coach area thoroughly.
Despite the reported sighting, no snake was located.
Railway officials confirmed that the search operation was carried out efficiently by both the Wildlife Welfare Society and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), ensuring passenger safety and preventing panic.
