President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday announced a major reshuffle of Governors across several states. Jishnu Dev Varma, currently Governor of Telangana, has been appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra.
RN Ravi has been named Governor of West Bengal, while retired Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain will take charge as Governor of Bihar. The changes were announced after C V Ananda Bose resigned from the post of West Bengal Governor earlier in the day.
Other appointments include Vinai Kumar Saxena for Ladakh, Taranjit Singh Sandhu for Delhi, Shiv Pratap Shukla for Telangana, and Nand Kishore Yadav for Nagaland. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will hold additional charge as Governor of Tamil Nadu.
