In a sensational incident, Beltarodi Police arrested a 23-year-old MBA student for allegedly raping a young woman and uploading her objectionable photographs to a pornographic website. The accused, identified as Abhijit Sunderlal Chaudhary, a resident of Ajni, was arrested following a complaint lodged by a 22-year-old woman originally from Madhya Pradesh.
According to police, the victim came in contact with the accused through social media platforms Snapchat and Instagram while she was working at a company in MIHAN. On May 25, 2025, Chaudhary allegedly visited the woman’s rented residence in Beltarodi, where he reportedly mixed a sedative in her cold drink. When she lost consciousness, he allegedly raped her and took explicit photographs, which were later used to blackmail and mentally harass her.
Police said that even after the woman returned to her hometown, Chaudhary continued to threaten her. He later allegedly uploaded the objectionable images on a pornographic website.
Beltarodi Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections related to rape and the Information Technology Act. After his arrest, Chaudhary was produced before a court, which remanded him to three days of police custody. The investigation is being carried out under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Mukund Kawade.
